About Us - Olived our story with olive oil starts back in 1989, when our father invested in land in a mountainous area in Syria, Sweida. It was his idea to grow and care for olive trees since olive trees can withstand the toughest weather conditions and it was a long term investment since Non-Gmo olive trees need about 10 years to bear fruit. now some 36 years later we decided that we should do something different and special not because we saw an opportunity but because we saw an a problem, one of used to live in the uk and the other was in the UAE but we were always suspicious of the olive oil in the markets either in the UK, UAE, and Kuwait. it then began a passion for us, and our olive oil harvest this year sparked something special. it became the root of our dream to share honest, high-quality olive oil with the world at most our yearly harvest tho! and because one of us needs to stay over the harvest period which takes about 2 to 3 months. We grew bouncing between Kuwait and Syria, soaking in the best of both places. After high school, I headed to the UK to study civil engineering, while Qais went to the uae for business administration. Living abroad broadened our horizons, but it also opened our eyes to a problem, olive oil out there wasn’t what it claimed to be, Mixed with vege oils, vague labels, and prices that didn’t add up left us frustrated and we thought maybe we are not alone in that. That’s when we turned back to our family’s farms. Teaming up with our lifelong friend Nasser Al-Shraify in Kuwait, we started Olived. It wasn’t easy—getting licenses, passing health and safety checks, and making sure every drop was just right took about 6 months of hard work. But on February 15, 2025, we launched, bringing organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil straight from our farms to you. to create Olived, we poured our hearts and time and capital tbh a lot of it too, so plz try our product if you don't like it don't order from us again and thats the end of it u know! But But We’ve tasted more olive oils than we can count, and we’re proud to say ours has something special tbh, it’s pure, organic, Extra Virgin and crafted with care from the farm to the packaging immediately. We don’t bottle it; we pack it in tin containers of 4 liters and 16 liters for now, with 1 liter and 2-liter tins on the way. Why tin? It’s the best way to keep olive oil fresh, especially in warm kitchens like ours but also cold kitchens, just much better for warm ones. Unlike glass or plastic, tin blocks out light, keeps the oil cool, and doesn’t mess with its flavour, glass and plastic do and even after sometime the bottling microscopicly dilutes and mixes in with the oil. But, But, let us tell you something with tins every drop stays as good as the day it was pressed. We’ve also partnered with Empower, a small Kuwaiti startup, to handle the logistics and deliver our oil with the same love we put into making it. Right now, we’re starting in Kuwaiti markets, but we’ve got big dreams, bringing Olived to tables across the UAE, Oman, and beyond, wherever people crave the real taste of olive oil. For us, Olived isn’t just a business it’s a piece of our family, a way to share something genuine.
